The junk stores sell...

Since I took a new role at my company, I've been working more days and hours than I have in years. I took an afternoon off, which, instead of being four hours off, ended up being only two. So much to do. But I have vacation time to use, and I wanted to be out and about, not on a weekend. I wanted to do toy donations this year, but I hadn't had the time to shop. I saw Toys For Tots drop off at Walgreens, and I was headed to Hobby Lobby. I thought they might have some reasonably priced toys. They did. And they were garbage. There were these cute and cuddly stuffed llamas. I picked one up, and the seams were tearing, the fuzz was coming off, and there were holes in them. Only $9.99! And yes, I know they were made in cheap factories overseas. But they are bought by the merchants who work for the company here in the U.S. A little quality control, please. It was depressing to leave empty-handed. Because it's almost Christmas, and there is no way I am setting foot in a Walmart this time of year, I donated money. My hope is they have some distributors/partners who have better products than the junk I found yesterday.
