Tessa Harris never imagined going back to her childhood home. But when her aunt passes away, her brother asks her to remodel the house he inherited so he can sell it. She packs up her car and heads back to Willow Landing. Once there, she finds the townsfolk not happy to see her, and trouble begins to head her way.
 
Police Chief Mason Slade wasn’t any happier than the rest of the townsfolk that a Harris had come back to town. After fielding reports of disturbances, he goes to confront Tessa himself. Instead of finding a troublemaker, he finds an attractive woman who wants nothing more than to remodel the old house and get out of town as quickly as possible.
 
But the trouble has just started, and it’s directed at Tessa. Mason vows to find the person responsible for threatening Tessa and vandalizing her property. But as things get worse for Tessa, things start to heat up between Tessa and Mason. Mason finds himself wanting to keep Tessa close to his side for always.
